We’re hiring! Two web developers needed (1 x .NET & 1 x PHP)

We’re looking for two new talented web developers to join our team – one .NET developer and one PHP developer. If you happen to have experience of both technologies that would be an advantage.

Although you will mainly be working from home, you should ideally live in the south west of the UK, e.g. Bath, Bristol, Swindon, Reading or Oxford areas – as we do all like to get together regularly for a spot of lunch and a catch up!

Role & Responsibilities

Your key responsibility will be to deliver new web projects and enhancements to existing websites for our clients. But we would also like you to contribute improvements to the way we work. So there will be opportunities to research the adoption of new technology in order to ensure we continue to use the most efficient and appropriate tools for each project we take on.

You will need to be self-motivated and disciplined in order to organise your workload and act autonomously where appropriate.

A proven track record in .NET or PHP web development is essential as you’ll need to be able to deliver high-quality, reliable software that meets our clients’ needs on time.

We’re passionate about what we do so your attention to detail and desire to deliver high quality will set you apart from other developers who may not strive for the same standards you set yourself?

Skills

To produce high quality websites and applications to specific design requirements, you will need to demonstrate that you have:

  • a good understanding of W3C Standards for (X)HTML and CSS compliance
  • an interest in and awareness of best practice and emerging standards and technologies for web development
  • a good understanding of the subtleties of web browser compatibility
  • excellent English language skills
  • programmer level SQL Server 2005+ (for .NET developers)
  • programmer level MySQL (for PHP developers)
  • experience with XML and serialisation technologies
  • experience of AJAX and JQuery
  • the ability to develop reliable, scalable web applications and e-commerce stores

Package / Benefits

If you’re successful in joining our team, you’ll be rewarded with a competitive salary that reflects your experience and skill level. You’ll get to avoid commuting as you’ll work from home most of the time, and you’ll get 20 days holiday to do with what you will (increasing with length of service).

To Apply

If you’d like to join our team, we’d like to hear from you. So send an email with a covering note and your CV to us at hire-me@keeblesmith.com.
